Tammy Heinsohn
Threshold Choir Music Director
Nashville, TN
Tammy Heinsohn enjoys every type of a cappella music and wants to encourage everyone to sing! She has sung in many community choirs through the years from an Irish Gaelic Christmas Choir to the Threshold Choir, which prepares singers to sing at the bedsides of the sick or dying. She founded the Nashville Threshold Choir in 2013 after a move to Nashville and after singing with the Santa Cruz California Threshold Choir for ten years. Her recent move to Nashville brings her the opportunity to work with The Acappella Company (Acappella, Durant, and PraiseandHarmony.com) and Messiah's Men (seen on the third season of "The Sing-Off"). She was the first Ambassador Coordinator for CASA and founded a non-profit organization in Santa Cruz, California to foster and encourage a cappella music in that community. For ten years, she was also a radio DJ for a three-hour weekly drive time a cappella-focused radio show. And she loves to travel and sing at Sacred Harp or shape note community singings all over the south.
