Christopher M. Diaz is a singer, songwriter, actor, arranger and vocal coach from Newport News, VA. A graduate of the Florida State University School of Music with a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance and minor studies in Russian Literature and Language, Christopher led the co-ed All-Night Yahtzee to three consecutive ICCA Finals appearances from 2006-2008 and is a two-time winner of the Outstanding Soloist award at the Finals for his work with the group.

Since his graduation from ANY and FSU, he has worked with Varsity Vocals to produce and judge the ICCA and ICHSA at all levels, and has worked as a producer, competition coordinator, and instructor at the SoJam A Cappella festival since 2008. From 2008 to 2011, he served on the Board of Directors for CASA as the Ambassador Program director, and eventually as Director of Public Relations. In 2009 he co-founded Mouth Off!, a podcast dedicated to contemporary a cappella which was voted “Favorite A Cappella Podcast” in the 2010 and 2011 A Cappella Community Awards. Christopher’s voice and arrangements have appeared on compilations such as Voices Only, BOCA, SING, and Voices Only Forte, and have been nominated for and won numerous Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards.

As a coach, Christopher has adjudicated, sung and instructed at vocal festivals around the country and world, including VoCAL Nation (NYC and DC), SingStrong DC, Kettering National A Cappella Festival (OH), London A Cappella Festival (UK), Colombo Music Festival (Sri Lanka), Hong Kong International A Cappella Festival, Taiwan International A Cappella Festival, and Festival of Voices in Tasmania, Austalia.

In 2012, Christopher joined Deke Sharon, Ben Bram, and Robert Dietz on the vocal coaching and arranging staff of season 3 on NBC’s The Sing-Off. After the show, Christopher co-founded the international touring group, The Exchange, which has performed hundreds of shows for audiences in over 25 different countries on 6 continents. In Spring of 2013, The Exchange joined the American boy band The Backstreet Boys as support for their 32 city “In A World Like This” stadium tour.  And in winter 2015, Christopher and The Exchange competed on Season 5 of NBC’s The Sing-Off, taking the runner-up title, and joining VoicePlay and Street Corner Symphony for The Sing-Off Live Tour 2015. In 2016 and 2017, Christopher and The Exchange will tour under-reached regions of the world as part of American Music Abroad, a multi-country cultural exchange tour supported by the US Department of State.
