UGA Accidentals
The
UGA Accidentals are a 41 year tradition of the University of Georgia. The group had its genesis back in 1974 when the Director of the UGA Men’s Glee Club, Dr. E. Pierce Arant, Jr. (read: “Coach”) decided to liven up the concerts a bit by having a feature quartet. Over time, four members became eight, and eight members became 13 in a process known as “mitosis”. Each year, the group holds auditions to continue the legacy that Coach started. Ever since, these Southern Gentlemen have been known for their charm, dress, and singing ability. Having competed in the ICCA Finals twice in the past 6 years, this group of talented vocalists knows how to perform and impress. The “Dentals” (as they affectionately call each other) bring to their performances an energy and life that is unique in the collegiate a cappella realm.
