Lark is defined not by what it is, but what it is not. Lark strives to connect with the audience through human character and emotion. Exploring aspects of humanity through their choreography, costuming, and spoken word, Lark is dedicated to the idea that their voices matter.

Founded in 2014 at the University of Colorado Denver, Lark is directed by Dr. Erin Hackel, and comprised of a small group of committed, strong, and diligent women. In 2014 Lark competed in their first a cappella competition, Mile High Vocal Jam, taking 2nd place behind their sibling group MIX. In 2015, Lark took 1st place at BOSS, and most recently took 1st place at SoJam in Atlanta, GA. As Lark continues to grow in the a cappella community, they hope to explore humanity and the human spirit, connecting with the audience on unspoken topics and raw emotion.
